Sunbound

Comet hunting is always a thrill - this time I set my alarm at 4am to make my way to the Roque de los Muchachos volcano in La Palma, Spain. I had previously consulted Google Maps to find a suitable location with a completely open eastern horizon. My camera picked up the long tail before the nucleus of the comet even became visible <img alt="smile" src="https://cdn.astrobin.com/static/astrobin/emoticons/happy.png"> It was an incredible sight through my binoculars, but only for a few minutes before it disappeared completely into the daylight.
