Back in February, I captured the Trapezium region of the Orion Nebula, but only recently found the time to finally process the data.
This image combines data from two different telescopes to balance the bright core and the surrounding structure around M42. The Trapezium itself is one of the most challenging parts of the nebula to preserve properly, with an enormous dynamic range between the central stars and the faint nebulosity around them.
Even after all these years, Orion still keeps revealing new details every time I revisit it.
