The Veil Nebula
One of the best-known supernova remnants of our skies is the Veil Nebula in the constellation of Cygnus. I photographed this very bright, large object from the dark skies of the Corsica mountains.I used Optolong’s L-Ultimate filter for the first time on my color camera and I have to say I was very impressed.I had planned to process this photo according to the classic Hubble palette (last photo), but I ended up not liking it so I did a couple of other versions, mapping the different gases to different colors.
I ended up using a version of the Foraxx palette in this version.
