Daytime Comet C/2024 G3

Daytime Comet! Comet C/2024 G3 (ATLAS) is the brightest one we have had since McNaught in 2007 and definitely the first of its kind since I started astronomy. As it passed extremely close to the Sun and will continue its way in a position that is invisible from my Northern Hemisphere home, I took this as a challenge to try to spot it in broad daylight! (see my setup in the comments). After using the Sun and Venus to align my telescope, I was able to spot it in the blinding glow of our Sun, less than 5 degrees away!
