Thanks Luca. Why your Biases column has Xes in the bottom table in the Calibration tab? Will WBPP still take them even though you have Xes and not green check marks?

that's right, it will not use them. If you use darks, you're not going to need biases, because the darks already contain the bias signal (plus the dark current signal). The only time you would need both is if you wanted to use dark scaling ("optimization"). In that case the software subtracts the bias from the dark, then assumes the rest if just dark current, it multiplies it based on the length of your subs. I cannot recommend NOT using this option enough :D it just doesn't work well

WBP Will not use the darks or bias frames from a different night when I use groups. How do I get WBP to ignore the fact that darks and bias were taken on a different night from flats and lights. The flats and lights form groups perfectly, it’s the darks and bias that is my issue. Thanks for any help.

@rickbria8420 if the keyword is not present on the biases and/or darks it should still take them! (It does for me). If it is present of course it will try to match them to the correct value

@ I see. So if I remove the keyword from all the bias and dark files, it should work. I will try it.

Cool. Thank you! Super well organized. Very practical using the keywords!

Which temperature steps did you choose for your bias/ darks library? 1 degree ? 2? 5?

@the_space_koala

@tomwolf9420 it’s a cooled camera so I just do -10 and -20 for this one, even during the hottest summer nights it can reach -10. I also have 0, 10 and 20 for my larger cameras with less efficient cooling for when I travel and try to save power by not cooling as much

@ ah, ok. I shoot with an canon 6D so no cooling. Although: got me a cooling device for my cellphone preventing it from overheating during games. Pondering to use it as an makeshift cooler for my dslr.

@tomwolf9420 you can always try, but I am very skeptical about external camera cooling systems. That is because you're not cooling the sensor but the camera house - therefore you increase the probability of dew formation and also you have no way of keeping the sensor at a steady temperature. So unless it's a 30degrees C night and you truly suffer from your camera heating up, I would personally not choose to use an external cooler

Never had seen about those grouping keywords. Love the idea, especially for grouping nights for the flats as my setup is not permanent. Thanks for sharing!

Really great video! I was already using Grouping Keywords mostly in the same way you use them, but not had thought on using a target keyword for post. Very useful tip!
