I think you may have difficulty with 3nm filters. If you're shooting in the plane of the MW you'll always have plenty of stars, especially under 1000mm. However if you go out of the milky way like for galaxy seasons you'll have a hard time finding any for some FOV
@the_space_koala Wonder if they could design a filter wheel with a cutout for the guide sensor. That way, one could use 36 mm filters and have no filters to diminish light for the guide sensor.
@Nabby13 I actually thought about doing that DIY... i just don't know if you would have issues with interference if you have just a thin slit in between the hole and the filter. I have a 36mm filter wheel - I actually may try and do this :D
Hey Mrs Space koala! How did you get so fast at fitting filters!!?? Cool!! LOL obviously I'm kidding! Joking aside, there's something so satisfying about the sounds and sights in this sped' up video! brilliant editing! Wes.
Hell nah! I just subbed to this channel and now this... yuck. Unsubbed!!
I did this for the first time last weekend, but it took me a bit longer to get it all done!
My wallet might have a hole if I buy this
look at my wallet and sigh π
Do you think that the guiding will work with 3 nm H-alpha filters?

2" filters on a 2600? You must be future-proofing yourself for a 6200 because 36mm filters will comfortably cover the 2600 and cost alot less.
this is the main drawback of the Duo/Air design - you need the larger filters because of the guide cam

I just purchased one couple weeks ago for the 585mm pro .....took me 30 min ππ
Itβs so fun though
2600 mm air is out?
Yeah I also did a video on it!
