I'm not much of a Facebooker however, a post popped up of you assembling your new 20" Dob. At this show you were kinda giddy when talking about and showing it. You probably ordered it then or shortly after. Any way to strap a camera on it to share? Congratulations.
that's exactly how it went. I was super excited about it and ended up ordering it 3 months later (in February 2025)
here in mid December and STILL no CAA!!!!

I was almost screaming.... there was an awful lot of noise in that place! I hope the speech is still understandable
Its sounds like they used an ambient noise reduction in post processing hence the robotic sounding voice.
I’m new too your channel and thinking seriously of starting this hobby. I live in Costa Rica and recently purchased a home in the mountains that has a spectacular view of the southern sky. Thank you so much for your reviews. What would you ( or any of your subscribers) recommend for a beginner with a budget of around $500.00.
For deep sky at $500 your options are either one of the smart scopes (like SeeStar) or a star tracker and a DSLR. If you want to learn and grow in the hobby over time I would pick the latter. There are many subjects you can photograph with a telephoto lens only and this keeps the price contained and your equipment also portable.

I had no idea about those Italian made Newtonians, but now looking at the prices, there is highly unlikely I will get one! They look like the Ferraris of the Newts though! I'm sure people with more money will be looking into them. Thanks! 😊

the artec are so overpriced
they are definitely pricey compared to entry-level Newtonians, but they're well-priced compared to instruments of similar quality

a bottle of coke zero while I was there :P And I got just a small losmandy adapter for my Artec - that's what the bag was for :)
wow that is discipline right there, i usually go to ATT in Essen and it almost always costs me more then i had allowed myself to spend 😅. I’d like to see a video on the Artec telescope, a friend has been looking into those, not a lot of info on their website.
It's coming, but I have to process all my images taken with it first :D
What for type of iOptron mount is that around 7.00 minute?
it looks like a mount from the HAE series -not sure which size!

I'd be surpised if there was no such thing? With all the really large telescope stores! They're missing out!
In Germany you have the ATT in Essen, mostly organized around begin May.
ATT in my opinion isn't compareable to Astro Show
