Aaaaaaaaand zip. A down hiller from Italy must have taken a wrong turn at 140km/hr. That is stunningly bright even with the snow contributing. I'm not sure I can recall it ever being that bright here in NZ but then I never seemed to be in a snowfield at midnight.
Last night I was able to do a full night of imaging despite the full moon now that I have 3 nm narrow band filters. Certainly a beautiful landscape here. ❤
It’s still a lovely landscape, and you could do lunar astronomy, yes?
But as someone most interested in nebulas and not lunar astronomy, I share your frustration. I just wish I had your dark skies!
Time to test that filter.
Looks like the snow is amplifying the moonlight as well, lawd have mercy..
Yeah, well there are other things in nature to enjoy. Looks great

Take a look at our beautiful Moon then ;-)
Amazing
No scoping last night but had to go outside briefly just to observe to moon. No need for any porch lights. A sprinkle of stars.
You're very lucky 🎉❤✨️🙏
Beutiful
Your full moon sky beats a new moon night in my bortle 8-9 sky 😢
It's ..ok to take a late night walk here ❤
