oh the Tesla fits more than this - I once did 4 full rigs in the back :D The consumption of the scopes is peanuts compared to the car battery so this doesn't limit me at all. Like a rig will consume 200Wh tops for a whole night, and the battery is 70kWh. What does is I sleep in the car with the heat on, which drains about 20% of the battery for a single night.
ā āā @the_space_koalaoh wow! Thanks for explaining it to me itās like it barely touched its battery then! And youāre right a huge battery pack for your telescopes haha You could possibly run your telescopes for a few days! And waaaa 4 full rigs!? Holy moly lots of space. And no way! And you donāt even need to have the carsā¦. āEngineā running like a normal car huh š š haha now Iām extremely curiousā¦. If you could charge that car off a Jackery or something like that š® u could literally drive for miles and if the battery died you could plug it in and charge but it would prob take long huh like overnightā¦
you cannot charge the car from a portable power station :D even the largest ones are perhaps 1.5 or 2kWh. Not to mention speed - from a regular house wall outlet it takes multiple days to charge - you need a car charger with higher power to get it to decent speeds (I have the Tesla wall charger at home that charges the battery in 4 hours which is very reasonable).
Wow no way! How much hours of power can that Tesla provide??? Without draining its mileage too much? And also you fit all of that in the Tesla š®??

I've converted my RV to do the same š
I like this! I have an EV with V2L capability and will be powering my rig from it when I next inage away from home. Its the way of the future.
I have a voltage stabilizer that keeps it at 13.5V no matter what, could be an idea
@the_space_koalaĀ absolutely! It's terrible when things shut down because the voltage drops.
did you make it home ? š¬
yes, still alive! :D
I know this place š
legend says it's where the best astrophotographers go!
@the_space_koalaĀ good legend šš š¤
Until your car battery gos dead in the cold.
it won't
Nar donāt want to use my car battery for that have to get a separate charger. All costs
this is if you have an electric car - you charge it either way
Que frio !!! š„¶
Hi, have you mounted C11 hd on wd20. How about the tracking.
the c11 is a piece of cake for the wd20 :) of course, as with all harmonic mounts, guiding is a must
@the_space_koala Got it. Thank you for taking time to reply me. Best! Clear Skies
Way to go Luca :-) Astronomical possibilities.
Thatās a lot of big telescopes! Are they all aimed at the same target, or different targets?
Different targets! :)
