https://youtu.be/D8W2kyAlkvk?si=gNsrga4KsuwcfSyD Sun was really cool tonight I need advice on a Camera for solar , I use asi120mc-s at moment and I kinda need a Dual use camera . thanks and love your videos in the mountains ,I have mountains here in scotland but not like the Alps
I was gifted a SolarMax II 60 for community outreach. I setup for outreach with someone who had a SolarMax III 70. I really struggled to have the clarity view of the prominence compared to the III 70. Your video makes me think that my II is similar viewing to your setup in that I may only get clarity/contrast via lucky imaging; not so much in observation like the III 70.
Amazing! But PLEASE remind everyone not to point their telescopes at the sun unless they're absolutely SURE they know what they're doing. You never know.
You are going to review it soon I imagine. Got mine some weeks ago. Need advice on a camera, I am set for the moment being, just waiting for the USB 3.1 cameras
Player One is working on. We need high speed for solar!
Nice video! Nice captures I had planned on getting a lunt solar scope next but other priorities first and I like that sun visor
Clipped on next to the eyepiece
That's a good idea! Thanks! 👍
Do NOT attempt looking at the Sun without an appropriate solar filter!

Fun fact About the sun: Did you know that sun is the largest star in whole galaxy?
You sure meant the whole solar system ;)

Thanks - I pinned a comment!
@the_space_koalathanks!
What filter do you use?
it's a dedicated solar telescope: Heliostar 100 by SkyWatcher

I too need to get a good camera for solar - this was just my good old ASI290MM
What hand controller is that? Is it Onstep?
It’s the hand controller of the Rainbow Astro mount - it’s not Onstep but proprietary
his telescope is better than nasa
Her telescope!
Nice!
Great
Man, with the proper solar filters and a good camera, that’s amazing!

the visor is awesome - it actually comes with the scope!
@the_space_koala great! Thank you! 👍
Wicked cool! The detail captured is astounding. Flares and prominences abound.
