Wish I could have made it! Next year!
5:42 Those smart scopes are a cool idea but if experience with the tech Industry tells me anything they won't stick around because they aren't proprietary, tech generally doesn't reward consumer friendliness and breeds a consumer base that doesn't care about it.
Although I'm a bit late watching this, it's a great video. Thanks Space Koala!
thanks! glad someone still enjoys it
I will wait for the S70 so I can do planetary too.
Watch with the sound off, make it easy on your ears.
Excellent video!! Thanks for sharing all this with us, biggest question a lot of us are asking is if the S30 PRO will kindaa be better than the S50 as a purchase experience or the S50 still have better capabilities due to size. Cheers from Mexico!
IMO aperture is king so the S50 will take better images of whatever object - if you put in the time. That said it's not a clear winner because the S30Pro is much more versatile with the MW option and better sensor
Awesome review! The Celestron guy need to start a side hustle with his voice, dude is a talent.
haha yes he just went on like he was reading a script!
Dang, was about to order the S30 (first smart telescope) for my birthday in June, but i guess now i´ll have to wait a bit longer for the S30 Pro - it will be worth the wait i guess?
if you don't mind waiting another 7-8 months, surely it will be better than the S30
@the_space_koala Thanks. It will be hard but not impossible, i'll wait then 😊
very nice video and excited to see those new products! I am a little sad for not seeing Orion and Meade anymore. RIP Orion and Meade
Yeah it’s a shame those companies aren’t here anymore, but I am excited about some of the new ones!
Great coverage! Thanks so much!!
is there any product for bird watching
There were some very nice binoculars like Oberwerk and Vixen!
Das ist eine spitzenmäßige Übersicht der NEAF 2025! Ganz herzlichen Dank für diese tolle Arbeit 👍
hey whats your name? your cute!
great paced overview - thanks! Can't wait for the ZWO EQ Wedge - finally a system that isn't cobbled together from other bits and pieces!
a lot of people are waiting for it - but to be realistic, it won't be any different than using a wedge from literally any other company. As far as I saw, there was nothing seestar-specific about the wedge. The convenience would just be being able to get all the parts from the same company at once, potentially
Challenge - At the bottom of the Seestar app there is a "community" tab. In that tab there is a section on solar captures. One is sunspots. Got them. However, there are 3 more. Coronal rain, solar prominence, and coronal mass ejection (CME). Can the Seestar capture any of these? If so how?
I wonder if this community is the same as the one in the ASIAIR app? That would explain it. I doubt you'd be able to get either one of those things with the Seestar unless it was during a total solar eclipse
@the_space_koala I have to agree. Makes sense about asiair. I'm sure your 14" would do well. Thanks for the response.
Love your videos, your not only gorgeous, but all your videos are well done and Informative ❤❤❤❤❤
What are your thoughts on the mirrosky 127? The kickstarter has been around for a while. Apparently Spectrum is the parent company or have taken over the startup? No reviews anywhere.
The idea is surely nice but I’ll refrain from commenting on the instrument until I’ve actually used one. NEAF was the first time I heard of Mirrosky so I have nothing :D
@the_space_koala Thanks for replying! Any plans on your side for testing?
you can forget the 799 prise on the 585 air when 150% tariffs coming
Thanks for this.
Another great video from you! Neat to see all the new products. For the SeeStar EQ mount usage, I just have an old video camera tripod made by Velbon, which has that pinhead built in mount. This was the first tripod I ever bought (before I realized it was crap for photography), and I see these type of tripods used for $20-50 Cdn. I can set up my S50 in about 2 mins.
Yeah I feel like if you have something that works there’s no reason to get a new eq wedge. Thanks for watching!
