Thank you for this information
For us, those who are just starting out in astrophotography, this is very valuable information! Thank you and we will follow you with interest!
Newbie here, just wanna say thank you for the education.
What altitude above sea level are you there? 🤩🤩🤩
2000m :)
Good tuto, so does anyone know how to photograph DOF files, and extract them in tiff or dng format
zwo for the win awesome <333
Next time you go to one of the conventions can you see if they can enable Bluetooth pairing to game controllers so we can have a physical joystick?
haha that would be so fun! You can probably already do it via ASCOM. I set up my PS controller for a scope once via INDI just for fun. Not that it actually has any added value
I love the support from ZWO. I can't wait to see the future.
S70 next year fingers crossed!
Nice video. Do you have a video on Time Lapse? I want to take the sun but maybe one pic every 15 minutes or so. Thanx for the info.
hey, no I don't have one yet
I am jean paúl and I am Colombia bogota aidonou inglish
We are waiting for seestar S70 naw. Hope we can see It soon.
Hi! Can you explain what to do in the App where it shows "Select Scope Point"? When I first set up my S30, I got to this screen and didn't know what to do.. Thank you!
You mean during polar alignment? It’s to be used in case you don’t have your whole sky open/clear, it lets you decide how high you want it to do the alignment
It's better a higher resolution than larger sensor. The FOV is wide enough
Thank you for a option “translate” áudio for IA.
I'm having issues manually strecthing since I did the flats on my see star, See star Stretch Scripts well. Do you think it's just a Coincident?
I'm not familiar wiht the seestar stretch. What are you experiencing?
Just one more request, Please show us how you amazingly process the images
Can it also do live sky watch video's?
this is something I never thought about! I don't know if there would be a lot of interest
Thanks for the great insights! Time to go shopping for a wedge… 😊 One question: I see that you use a Mac for processing - as I do. What SW do you use on the Mac for processing the video that you took from the sun? I find the choice of SW for that purpose on Mac quite limited, if not non existing. Thanks!
Indeed planetary is not very Mac friendly. I run Windows 11 in Parallels to be able to use AutoStakkert
The 60-second exposure is great when it works. However… One night I was able to capture seven 60-second images; next night, nothing. A fair amount of rotation is exhibited in the first few frames, then it seems to settle down; but not always. It would be great if there was some way to determine the cause of the star trails, and subsequent failure to stack. The longer exposure is great for gathering more data; but the reliability needs some work.
that sounds frustrating! Around the end of the video I showed examples of when the s50 was trailing vs when it wasn't, I think it's really a matter of alignment, perhaps not just the PA itself but any sort of backlash in the whole setup
I love watching your videos and learning from you . Thank you for being so clear in your teaching and I hope you don’t mind me telling you this but you have a beautiful voice. I am a newbie to using the Seestar 50 and I hope to get it setup hopefully this weekend. Your follower and student, Jerry
thanks a lot Jerry, that's super nice of you to say! have fun with your s50
