Ewwww ahhhhh. Maybe a bicycle shop could make a cart to cradle the scope into position. It would have to have a definite always on brake on the tires until brake releases are used. Individual brake on tires would be nice.
@the_space_koala If it's like a wheelchair that accordions into a thin device when not in use it would be nice. Maybe a heavy duty wheelchair could be modified to have an upper structure. Trick is it sure can't have any failure points. Balance balance balance because it for sure shouldn't have any endanger the scope problems.
I had a heavy telescope, but I sold it. I didn't want to have back problems. Please, please be careful. That scope is way too heavy to lift. Beautiful picture!
Youโll be able to replace the RST 300 with the SAL 66 later this year and enjoy the warmth inside while you do a robotic polar alignment with it ๐๐
Wow, You are my inspiration. Whenever I look at my 8SE and think of all the fuss and weight to set up and later take down, I will think of you. I still may not touch the telescope, but I definitely will think of you, ha ha ha.
haha the C8 is tiny! I think the reason people struggle is they try to mount it with the saddle pointing at the north. just turn the declination to 0 and you'll mount it in 0.002 seconds
Beautiful! ๐๐
Donโt forget with the proper counterweight and a.m. seven mount by ZWO will handle it moron
Spettacolo !
What mount are you using? It looks tiny compared to the Cellestron 14" Edge HD!
it's the Rainbow astro RST300

Great location for astrophotography. Is that your home we see in your YouTube videos or an observatory open to the public.
Your love for astrophotography shines through
Ignore the scope. I want that 12K EUR mount!
Wait until you see the cost of 10micron or even ASA mounts ;)
Thank you๐ for sharing how we can handle the gravity. Very Smart.
A good location and telescope, you are very lucky indeed.
Nice!
This girl is amazing AstroGirl ๐
Wow! Thatโs a light bucket!!! Now I see why you need such a solid base.

replace? Do you mean complement ;)
That is impressive, do you have complete videos on setting up your C14?, what mount is that?
I have a "tutorial" on the process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UJO8UBufC8
